Chris Craft Commander Alyeska

Scandalon at anchor in Andrews Bay, Lake Washington.

to the online home of Alyeska, a 1966 38 foot Chris Craft Commander Sedan.
When you hear the name Chris Craft you may imagine sleek wooden runabouts or magnificent wooden motor yachts and this image is quite correct.  But beginning in 1964 at the New York Boat Show Chris Craft introduced their all fiberglass Commander line with a 38 foot cruiser.  Alyeska is an example of that particular model.

We may never know how many previous owners Alyeska has had.  My guess, many!  She was originally sold by Staff Jennings Chris Craft dealership in Portland, Oregon.   Since April, 2007 she has been proudly owned by Mike Forrester and Barbara Purrington (with thanks to Dave Nelson & Bruce Ramon of Wolfe Marine Sales, Seattle).
